Usually with most girls, acceptance by their peers. They need to be part of a click. They need to feel important and needed by their peer group. They also need to be popular in this group. Most girls rely on this group to share their experiences that they have with men. They bring back information harvested on dates and encounters with the opposite sex and bounce it off their friends. They are looking for the approval their afraid to get from their parents. Many times these peer groups girls so urgently need to be a part of act as surrogate parents. That's why parents need to communicate with their teens more and find out whats important to their kids. I'm not saying be your kids best friend , that's a cop out, you need to be a parent first, kids need direction and structure.
