Seinfeld episode known as "The Contest" in which, after George is caught in the act by his mother, Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer make a bet to see who can got the longest without "gratifying themselves." Each of those sayings is a euphemism for having the strength to withhold from masturbating .

Well since I don't watch that show, can't stand the guy. to me it means (which I don't believe in) a man is in control of his house. It is a reference that men like to use. "I am king of my house" "This is my castle". Master of your Domain, could be referring to a woman. The guy in control of her also.
These are just words, as far as I am concerned. I pay the bills with his money, but no one controls me, or my house.
This probably wasn't what you were looking for, but this is my opinion. good luck with whatever you were looking for.
