Need honest mechanic -- Torrance CA?

I am finding a decent and no ripoff mechanic around Torrance CA. Any recommendations? Reason: I have 60K miles on my Car and needs a checkup. Please recommend. Thanks.

Check with friends, neighbors and co-workers. Check to see if the Better Business Bureau has any complaints registered against them.
