ground meat of any kind like pork sausage or ground turkey and lamb would probably work too

That would be great it lamb didn't contain so much grease, and it's hard to find any that doesn't contain fat. If you can find some really lean lamb, excellent choice!

I'd say ground turky. I'm not a fan of eating baby animals for some reason. I think only adult, well treated should be eaten. That's just me though. As well treated as they are, I still eat them, so that still seems messed up.

You know what is great and most people don't know about?
ground chicken...it looks just like ground hamburger however it taste better. Its less fattening and you can do the same thing with ground chicken that you can do with ground hamburger. ground chicken is a tad lighter.
please try it...you won't be disappointed.

I actually have had Emu, Ostrich and Buffalo burgers. All were pretty good and a low fat meat too. Turkey always works in burger form.

ostrich. no really, i am not joking. they are a bit pricey but the have less fat and crap than beef but taste very much like it.
