There are three types of women. The women who grew up being told they were pretty and the women who grew up being told they were smart. Then there is the third group, the ones who did not receive any positive reinforcement; so although they very well may be pretty or smart or even both were never told.

on some days every women knows she is pretty and then much like women we have days when the hate the way we look but if a girl is drop dead gorgeous she knows it and normally uses it to her advantage

I am not sure, I know I am not ugly, I just think I am average, but I have been told how pretty I am but I am still not sure if I believe it. I guess I am just not a shallow person. I honestly believe most of us are pretty, it may not be outer beauty, but personality has a lot to do with it.

.....their pretty what ? The word "their" is a possessive and MUST be followed by a noun.
Or did you mean to use the contraction for "they are" which, of course, is "they're" as in "Do women know that they're pretty?"

I think for the most part yes. Most women do. There are some who say they don't think they are but even some of them are just being modest. But there are some who don't think so. Maybe a rough childhood had lowered their self esteem and such.

It's a real waste if they don't. But then again, it all depends on your definition of pretty, right?
I mean, since anything that isn't "fake-Barbie-perfect" isn't beautiful in this world, a lot of women don't think they are...by popular definition, they aren't. It's all a matter of who thinks/sees it differently.

they do in many respects, but they need to be told by someone they know, trust, and love so they feel good about being pretty :)
