Depending on how nutrious the formula is and what unnecessary ingredients are in it, will give you that awesome aroma that curls your tummy. Maybe keep something with your favorite scent on it around your nasal air level so you can phase out for a moment into a nice smell when you know what's a comin' !!!

LOL... yes my son started with Isomil Advance with Iron and it smelled when he burped... then he used Enfamil Lacto Free Lipid and it also smelled ...

But I know what you mean... cause he's using Nutramigen now and this one takes the cake... even from the minute im micing the powder with water it smells so strong... But so far is the only one that doesnt make him vomit or be colicky...

OMG...hold your baby's face away from yours if you're using Nutramigen. LMAO My older son was on that, and it has to be without a doubt the FOULEST smelling formula out there. Reminds me of chicken bouillon, only worse. LOL

I recall that my son's formula and burps smelled like bad potatoes. I was amazed he drank it. Maybe it tastes better than it smells.

Nutramigen is particularly vile. It has a very low potential for allergic reactions because it is partially digested. That explains the awful smell. If you want to avoid allergies *and* bad smells, nurse your baby; breastfed baby's breath is sweet, and nursing avoids most allergies *and* protects the baby from developing allergies (or from developing life-long allergies if they have the normal baby allergies).

Don't worry, you'll be smelling much worse things as the months and years go by. Better get used to it.

I know that Similac smells bad too. My friends son was drinking it and his whole body would smell like it. Yuck! He was so cute but he smelled so bad!

Best I found was generic, less soy (try Parent's Choice)! But breast milk smells the best, and always will be the best!
