Between 2 - 6 months

The piercing itself does hurt but only for a second. Its over quicker than you can say "oh **** a there's a needle in my face". Ive had mine for about a month now and Ive had no problems whatsoever. I clean it twice a day with salt water and the swelling went down within about three days.

This is however my second attempt as the first go was a cbr on my lip line.. the actual piercing was fine but that night i went to a gig and the ball got knocked off the ring (yeah i know, stupid) anyway i woke up after that nights sleep with a lip like i had done 10 rounds with mike tyson. After the swelling went down (two weeks) i noticed that the ring was fine on the outside but on the inside it was too close to the inside of my lip so i would never be able to wear a bar. I took that one out.. let it heal and got it re-done slightly lower than the original hole. you cant even see where the old one was

So i guess the point of the story is take your time and pay attention when he does the dot near your lip and DONT go to a gig on the night you have your lip pierced

you should ask yourself why you want a lip ring in the first place. don't do it because you think it's cool or something. cause in 2 years you may not want it. Cause it's sure as hell out of style right now. And remember when you enter the real world, piercings on the face are frowned upon in the work place, well in most work places unless you work in an uber cool place that allows piercings, but you should long and hard before you put surgical steele through your body. I've pierced things, and now it's like yeah i did but now i'm over it...

Unless your heavy into Goth and don't care about what anyone thinks, don't do it!

Also some piercings do not ever close right. Example, I got my ear pierced 15 years ago and have not worn an earring for at least 10 years now, is the hoe still visible? Yes!

I'm a guy and regret ever having one ear pierced because it was just a phase and I don't wear earrings anymore.

i think you should wait 2 years, it isnt that long. my friend has her lip pierced in the center and it is so cute! it takes at least 2 months, im not sure the exact time. but make sure if you get a job that piercings are allowed, or it would be a complete waste.

first, you might not want that piercing after ten years.

what I would do is do more research. See how peoples pierced lips grew back.

Just think about it, but I think you need a parent signature for the piercing (crap, but true)

or that might be cartridge (you could do that those are awesome)

hope this helps

Hell with it pierce it. what's the most that could happen. wow get your *** whipped maybe kicked out. Example I got A tattoo at that age I got hit it was over and I still had my tattoo and my house for living hahaha. As for how long it heals it'll take about A week maybe less it all depends on your body.

2 years aren't that much...I think you should wait...I would give you the time it takes to heal but I lost the paper where it said the healing time of all the piercings, maybe if you look on the web for H2Ocean you can find that information too

It takes longer then an earing and if your mom doesn't want you to that isn't exactly some thing you can cover up and if you want to get a job in the next year forget about it.

Personally, I think lip piercings look ugly. Can't you get something else pierced?

Why not pierce something that will look good? Or something you can hide from her? Or you could wait 2 years.
