I would agree totally.
Not only does it help a broken heart, Music can help in so many other ways. I have found that music can stimulate the mind of unborn and living children. Depending on the type of music, the child's intellect can sky rocket. For example,
My daughter was played classical music and rock-roll when she was a baby. At 5 years old, she can count to 1000 and add and subtract up to 100. Her vocabulary is remarkable and social enter action is excellent. Long story shortened a bit, I would say a definite yes!!!

Yeah I agree! Sometimes you can relate to more than one song! Like a sad one at first, then a pissed off sounding one, then a I can do it alone with out you! It kinda keeps the emotions moving along at a Pace, so you don't crash and burn or stop suddenly. To coin a phrase "I will survive". Makes time move a little more quickly and dwelling on one thing harder. Which is the key in some break ups not to dwell, keep thinking and moving on!

It depends on what music you listen to. If you're listening to soothing music, it will help. However, listening to songs about getting dumped when YOU just got dumped don't exactly make you happiest guy on Earth.

Yes, it can, but be careful what you are listening to, it can make it harder. I am speaking from the wisdom of experience. listen to some Hinder, or default, there is some good :harder music: out there that will give you strength instead of making you DWELL on what is no longer. A broken heart takes time to mend, but IT DOES MEND...I promise, Good luck

It helped me. My favorite songs after I got dumped were Born to Lose, I know I'll never find another you., Funny Little Clown. Not depressing at all. Helped me realize everybody deals with getting dumped. I was better off without her. Didn't realize it at the time though.

"Music mends broken hearts"
It's always good to know that someone, even a lyricist you'll likely never meet in some band far away from you is going through or has gone through the same thing you are now.
