And everyone's going on about how immigrants have to know how to speak English when the majority already living here can barely spell it.

Some people have bad spelling on here because English isn't their first language. Others just don't give a royal fart how they spell. The latter are the ones that make me angry.

Yea, even with the handy little spell check. Soon all language will sound like "future speak" like those "goo-backs" that were on South Park.

I was going to make a joke about spell check malfunctioning, but I just spell checked a question and it didn't catch my mistake!
I spelled they, thay, and it didn't catch it.
I just spell checked now and it caught the thay, but it thinks I spelled spelled wrong!

Yeah, it's bad sometimes. Especially when there is a spell check right up there...But we all make mistakes now and again.

my spelling is horrible, i grad at the top of my class in both high school and college, i believe it is a learning disability, i can't sound the words out and spell them, really its not something to make fun of. i have to work really hard at spelling, give me math, critical thinking, memorizing text, i can do it...but not spelling...I'm not stupid, nor lazy...what i think looks/sounds right is wrong

A person's spelling and grammar speaks about their level of intelligence! I don't answer badly formed questions...

It's not a crime- it's not like people are out killing kittens.
When chatting online, people type in haste and sometimes misspell words.
Also, talking and posting online is casual- we're all allowed to drop some grammar rules if we choose.

Totally. It takes 3 extra seconds to spell out 'you' instead of 'u' and things like 'there' 'their' and 'they're' shouldn't be hard after the 6th grade. Honestly, what is this cyber world coming to?
