I was called lesbo by some girl in a big store center. went there with my gf and we kept each other hands. it was like 'oh look! lesbos!'. terrible you know? I felt like some unusual animal in zoo! but I don't care much about stuff like that. it's such ppl problem, not mine.

When I was in high school a few girls *thought* I was looking at them in the locker room during PE. They waited until after class and beat me up in the showers. I have been spit on, slapped across the face. People have thrown hot coffee on me, shoved me to the ground, kicked me, shunned me. And I'm sure there are others out there who have been through so much worse?
How do you think it made me feel? I'm not trying to be snide when I ask that, please don't think I'm being rude, because I'm not. But it made me feel awful. It made me feel like I was less than a person.
Thankfully I'm older now and I've gone through a lot of things and certains things don't bother me as much anymore. I recognize ignorance for what it is, and being called a fag stills burns me on the inside the same way being called the n word does sometimes, but then I realize ignorance for what it is and I pray for them.

sure, young man with his friend in a sports car -- I laughed at the guy when he did it and he tried to run over me with his car. I was fine until he tried to run over me with his car. Then I got a bit scared I must say. In general however, no -- and that was a strange circumstance. A couple of other times perhaps but I have always found it somewhat amusing and stupid.
I know some people get hurt when it happens, and I hope it has not happened to you -- it can be a form of assault depending on how gentle and harmless the person being attacked is and how vicious the attacker.

YES!!! It was insulting because of the way that person called me a ****...the message itself didn't bother me much but how and where is really what bothers most. I am not yet out of the closet but I think some people can really see it in me.

I've been called a lesbian...But it was funny because I'm bisexual and I was walking with my boy friend and I gave a friend a hug and some guys called up lebos it was pretty funny...but I don't worry about things like that. Because what I choose to do is my choice no one Else's business so I let them say what they wanna say and think what they wanna think unless the push my limits and no one has done that so far.

It is actually pretty common - but I was pretty amazed that on two seperate occasions - FEMALES felt that they had to call me a fa.g - and it is odd for I paid no attention to them as I passed them by and if they were walking with bfs or by themselves, I did not notice. I could understand a male being threatened by me, another male - but females?? I guess it DOES take all kinds to make up this world.

No, I'm a hetero female.
However I saw a guy get his natural asss WHUPPED by a big asss brotha in a dress for calling him that!
I guess the guy was so focused on the guy's pink lipstick and fuchsia halter dress that he forgot that he was a big asss, linebacker looking MAN! Brotha in pink wore that fools asss out... beat him like he stole something!
I bet you that fool won't call another man that name!

Yep. The first time was shocking and I thought, "They can't mean me."
The second time I turned on them and shouted "Yeah, what?" on a crowded street. They were startled and went on their way. I wanted to skip and dance. If I hadn't been carrying a latte, I might have done.
