Your better off replacing the entire radiator on vehicles 5 years older or 3 years with no radiator service.
A leak is sign off natural vehicle wear and tear- use of the device. Check the vehicle service manual or car dealer information.
If the car is less than 4 years old, less than 50000 miles. It is probably a driver that does not keep up the new car. In some states thats illegal the car can be impounded by police, it does not matter if your the 2nd owner. And its your drivers record, so keep the original owners name and address handy.
