I was shocked as well i remember him from SeaQuest and the neverending story. It was vey sad that he chose to take his life as he was a beautiful person, but also a reminder that celebrities have issues like you and me and that they are normal people despite all the glitz and glamour.

oh my god! this is the first time i've heard about this. i loved him in seaquest dsv; i watched the show because of him. was so sad when the show ended; he was so adorable. he was good in sidekicks and never ending story. i checked the story out and this is what i found out:
In November 2003 Brandis' death at age 27 was deemed a suicide; the actor was discovered unconscious after apparently hanging himself at his Los Angeles home by a friend. He was brought to the hospital but passed away the following day due to his injuries.
I still can't believe that I didn't hear anything about it. I'm surprised and saddened that someone could take his own life. If there was someone who could have helped. Anyway, I hope he is at peace now. God bless his soul.

I remember him. I was overseas and returned to Canada and found out he had committed suicide. He had so much potential. I thought it was sad. Did he know he needed help, did he seek it out? I wonder what would make him do it?

I liked him too, especially on that scifi show..."Seaquest." He was really cute. He was also in "The NeverEnding Story Part II," and "Lady Bugs." I was sad when I heard about that, maybe he had bipolar disorder and no one knew about it?

I KNOW! I was so upset! I loved him in "Ladybugs" and "Neverending Story 2" he was so cute...That was so tragic! If he'd gotten some help, he may have been able to have a comeback too. *Sniff*.
