You know when a person says, "You know what they say", who exactly are "they"? Where do "they" come from? How much do "they" know about us?

They control the universe. They know -everything-. They do everything. There are no secrets from Them...

They have no name, and think they can hide themselves from us. But they can't. We're on to them.

...Perhaps it's just the whole collective human race, from the perspective of someone at the end of the world.. at that point, collectively we will know every single thing that was said an done.. because at least the person who said/did it will know it.

WOW! I have often wondered about "them", I just never realized anyone else questioned this, "they" thing. I mean......... who are they? Do they wear white lab coats, and set around a huge conference table discussing what is, and is not acceptable? Do they meet monthly? Quarterly? How do they decide which issues need to be brought before the council? Which one of "them" suggested the whole you can't wear white until after Easter Sunday thing?? I am as stumped as you appear to be.......sorry not really an answer is it?

This is what you say when you want to prove your point of view in an arguement but have no real facts. I say "THEY said green M&M's cause cancer" or "THEY say the GEO Metro is the best ecomomy car out there". TOTALLY not true in either case but can you prove it with out looking up facts? You can't say "they say" because i already said it, now you need REAL info! HA! I won! Because no one knows who THEY are my statement of "fact" cannot be refuted!

You know.

They are everywhere.

They know everything.

They are very opinionated.

And they come from everywhere.

They are all around you, no matter where you are, and observe your every moves.

They are one of the greatest myths of mankind.

...And a narcissist's dream come true.

a wrongful generalization of a group of individuals either to vast to name, or nameless....to the person speaking...
I also feel that its the faceless wonder we tend to blame for all our "problems" that we refuse to claim as our own personal responsibilities...
we practice the blame game 24/7...."they" is a good "person" to blame...an elusive , faceless, entity that CAN"T come back and say..."no way, it wasn't me"
unless, of course, your one of my teens...
then its everyone going to the party, everything "they" wear, say or do...that i won't allow...
then i ask them to name they "they's" so i can call their parents and talk to them...
then the "they" seem to just disappear...

You don't know about them? You're better off that way lest you always live in fear.
