I'd like to know. I hope some answer this question! I suppose I'm a wannabe since I voted as an Independent I won't say for whom....I remember liking Mario Cuomo years ago. He seemed so likable and reasonable. Perhaps my memory fails me. C'mon, Dems. Give us someone we can take seriously-keep the two party system alive for those of us who are more middle of the road....

I think Democrats do love America they are just not going to buy into the Bush propaganda machine. The truth is that we need to start loving America right here in our own country. We have a terrible unemployment rate, the economy sucks, inflation is turning the middle class into the impoverished and the rich are just getting richer. There is something wrong here, why is no one concerned about taking care of our own people. People assume that America is the land of opportunity, but those that assume that come from wealth and have never had to see what lack of opportunity there is for those that are less fortunate than those to be born with a silver spoon in thier mouths. It should no longer be about Democratic and Republican mud slinging but about what really matter....and our people are what matters...

This is the most inane question. I can't believe you even were rude & stupid enough to ask it.
Further, as G.K. Chesterton points out, loving something sometimes means loving it enough to see it become better. Those who love the most deeply are willing to watch someone go through something painful to become better in the end. That's why good parents discipline their children.

It's why good americans are thoughtfully critical. Not because they hate america, but because they love it and are working to make it better.

Whatever happened to people who are willing to try and understand others opinions? I seem to recall that being an american value...Hm. Maybe it's just me.

We are here. I live in Ohio, I love America. I have no idea what to do to change things. I listen to the Democrats and their "plan". I have no idea what they are talking about.
