i dont understand why more isn't being done to conserve this world, we have the intelligence to do so, but it doesnt seem to matter to those who are capable of initiating the solutions.

I would like to know why we are conduction experiments that have the paternal to do global (or at least massively local) devastation.
Like strange matter conversion and the z-engine.
I mean they ACCEDENTLY made temapatures more than 10 times (maybe it was 100 times o.o) hoter than the CORE of the sun in the z-engine, if they had not been able to contain that.... at the very least it would have taken out several hundred miles around it.... at the worst it could start a fusion reaction with the hidrogen in our atmosphere.
WTF?!?!?!?
You couldn't wait till we have a collony on the moon or a lab in orbit to be playing around with stuff like that? O.O

Because we only see short term and not long term. It takes decades or more to effect the planet on a world wide scale. Our time horizon is not that long. Everyone knows that fossil fuels are going to run out in the long term, but since they have been reliable for about 100 years , everyone things you can just dig anouther hole and take the oil out --- 50 years from now we will be in alot of trouble if we do not wake up and find alternative energy sourses which are renewable.

I agree we have the intelligence to achieve this but the powers that be are too busy trying to milk this planet of all it has that can turn a dollar. I don't see the sense in trying to rule a planet and kill it at the same time. First oil, now we are facing a freakin, corn shortage for the ethanol bases fuels it produces.

There is no PROOF that we are destroying this planet. Do you know how much damage is done when just one volcano erupts? The earth is still evolving. Don't listen to the Al Gore's of this world who will put symbolism over substance every time!

Becuse most peoople are spoilied, want it fast and convienent, not thinking about what it cost to be this way. We have created such a high pace life, time isnt managed well. Instead of cruizing play a family game, restore old homesteads as best as you ,maybe switch our paper to hemp and save a tree. Who knows, fast and easy equals crash and burn. All you can do is your part and hope others catch on.

Interesting. Do you consider that you are eating up electricity with your PC and that energy is derived from power plants with huge generators eating up gobs of resources? And that the PC you are using is made up of petroleum based plastic and that the circuit board inside had lead on it and the the copper wire was mined frorm our soil? Start at home and work outward.

Because everyone who participate in polluting and destroying the earth, thinks that the very tiny thing he is doing won't have a valuable effect on earth telling himself

people don't understand the concept of cause and effect anymore.Americans especially see themselves as too good too busy to worry about the future. as a native American i weep for the things we do to mother earth. and now she's fighting back the only way she can with storm, flood, famine, drought. has no one seen the signs heeded her warnings? we're in for a rough ride my friend buckle up..................peace timothy
