my room in the 1st floor of our house, remains very hot throughout the year. I don't feel comfortable in A.C.,as because, I stay 12 hours or so in A.C. in my office.in spite of having big windows on two sides, the room is hot. I also have a rooftop room where I keep my computer & other related hardwares. How to make that room cool, without A.C.?

Please I need suitable suggestions as soon as possible..........

I feel ur pain. Try a swamp cooler, window air conditioner, or whole house fan.

I would open the window so there is air open at the top and the bottom so that the hot air goes out at the top and cold air gets sucked in my dad showed me this... or if there are two windows, get a fan to blow the air out and leave the other open...

You could instal ceiling fans to circulate the air. I wouldn't be without them. Also a portable evaporative cooler will help. Or buy a couple of pedestal fans, they are pretty good too.

the upper room could use insulation in the cieling, pluss doubble glazing to the windows is very good as the air betwwen the glass makes one of the best insulations,if you are unable to afford double glazing, then heavy duty curtains keepted closed, will greatly help keep it cool, allso make sure door is left closed to prevent rising heat coming from apartments below entering your room

Try room-darkening shades, lots of plants, and window fans. Do you have a ceiling fan? That would help, too.
