be the bigger person. Just say hi. If you don't have to talk to her, don't say anything at all, just avoid the situation. If she says something rude, just say something nice back, or say something like 'if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all'. Or, say something like, 'gee, thanks for your opinions. I'll take that into consideration' (it's a good way to just end conversations without being rude). In the end, just remember that you'll be the happier person in the end, becuase you can talk to people without being rude/opinionated/starting a fight.,
Good luck!

Tell your friend nicely that you appreciate her opinions, but they're a little too strong. Or, you can just ignore her. I think the main reason why she's like that is because she is insecure about herself. Only she knows that. If you want, you could ask her why is she like that and may be, she will tell you. Some peope like to start fights sometimes because there's something wrong going on in their lives. Just tell her nicely how you feel and go from there. Good luck!!!

How do they say it? With friends like her you don't need enemies. No matter how rude it sounds coming from you you have to stand up to her or just simply choose other friends. If you can't stand her then definitely find someone else to mingle with.

a person changed against their will is of the same opinion still.
there's nothing you can do to that sort......except ignore her.
dont argue with her........why waste your valuable time n energy on a person who just wants to enforce her opinion on others.
psychologically speaking....she suffers from an insecurity. she wants confirmation of her way of thinking and is using people for affirmation. .......anybody who cannot prove her wrong, proves her right!
just ignore her with a smile:)
she needs to grow n she'll in time.

I understand you completely. I have a person like that in my life too. "Had"- To be more exact . I stopped interacting with her because she was way too opinionated. It hurts, but I think it will be better in a long run.

Tell her what you told us but nicer. tell her that you value her oppinion but she comes off a little too strong. If she doesn't understand, tell her you would have rathered a candy dipped reply not a strong black coffee reply. I'm sure that she doesn't notice that it's hurting you. Probably because you haven't SAID ANYTHING TO HER!!!!!!!! I know I would want my "friend" to tell me how she felt. I would rather stay her friend then lose her because she didn't tell me how she felt.

Try the ole mimic trick. We all hate mirrors when they don't show us in a flattering way. Maybe if you could show her how it looks to you, by copying her actions, she will get the big picture.
