"Live simply so that others may simply live"-Gandhi
"An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth will only leave the whole world blind and hungary"-Gandhi
"Without love we are birds with broken wings"-Morrie Schwartz
"Everything in moderation, including moderation"-Buddha
"A concept of Self? Ha! May as well moor the boat of understanding to the tail of an eel"-cant remember.
And my favourite=in philosphy class second year we were discussing the concept of the Self through change and a guy, Killian was fast asleep, the lecturer asked "Can anyone tell me about the self within, independent of external events?" blank faces and he looked at the sleeping Killian and raised his voice to wake him saying "Killian?". his head came off the desk, thin string of drool attached and he just said in a groggy voice;
"Who? Me?"
It was profound, it was zenlike and we all got the joke and burst out laughing except the masterly sage-killian.
My favourite philosophy quote. Anyone who asks about the self i always say "Who Me?" Such depth, hehehe.

Even the smallest act of kindness reverberates across great distances and spans of time,affecting lives unknown to the one whose generous spirit was the source of this good echo,because kindness is passed on and grows each time it's passed,until a simple courtesy becomes an act of selfless courage years later and far away. Likewise, each small meaness,each,expression of hatred, each act of evil . (HR White "This Momentous Day")
