I need some advice....?

you see, i talk to girls a lot. I really dont think im a shy person at all. i talk to a bunch of girls, and i really dont think im weird or a jerk or a loser or anything like that. but, for some reason, no girls ever like me "like that" i'm 16 years old, gonna be a junior in high school, and have only had 1 girlfriend in high school. i know a lot of people will say its ok they'll come.. but i dont think i need to wait any longer... lol and i tell girls i like them quite often... so please can people give me advice... I NEED TO GET A GIRLFRIEND

The more you push yourself, the more they won't like you. Why? because your motivation behind getting a girlfriend is to justify your ego and your own needs. Girls want guys who are sensitive to their needs. The more desperate you appear, the cheaper you will be. Girls have pride too I guess. If they go for the guy who's throwing himself away, then it reflects her own standard or desperation.

First of all why do you need a girlfriend? you need food shelter clothes education but you do not need a girlfriend. You would like a girlfriend you dont need one. Ok now my answer.... Are you coming off to much like a friend and not a potential boyfriend? I had a friend in high school (actually all through school) that was my closest confidant and our senior year he finally confessed to me that he loved me and had loved me for a few years but was always to scared to say anything. Unfortunately I had only seen him as my friend. We did everything together and always at each others house and the thought never crossed my mind. That is because he never even gave me a hint that he was interested in me. If you want to land a girlfriend make sure that you do not make yourself look like just a friend. Make it seem like you could stand to have a girlfriend. Also dont try to get a girl that is already a friend. Try talking to someone that you dont already know and let them know from the start that you are interested. Good luck and let me say that Ivan (my friend) and I are still the best of friends.

Do you NEED a girlfriend or want a girlfriend. There is a difference ya know. I do know what you mean when they say they don't like you "like that" though. I was told that quite often in high school. What sucks about being your age and being in high school is the pressure and emphasis on social status. I say more often than not, what you think you want is not what you need.

Sounds like you could be too forward with them. Try backing off a little. Some mystery might make them come to you. Don't come right out and say you like them - it makes you seem desperate. Good luck!
