Go to your doctor - there's a variety of tests they can perform, including a biopsy, that will say one way or the other. Breast cancer is one of the easiest forms of cancer to diagnose so you're lucky from that standpoint. Some of the other forms are not quite so easy. My hopes and prayers are with you while you go through this and that it turns out to not be cancerous. I've lost both my mother and my uncle in the past 3 years to other forms of cancer and I have an aunt that has beaten Breast Cancer twice.

First you need to schedule a mammogram. After that, the doctor will analyze whether the lump is something to worry about. Sometimes fluid-filled cysts can make lumps when actual cancers are still too small to feel. Then if it looks like a mass, they'll schedule you for a biopsy. The biopsy will detect any cancer cells. The only way to know for sure is to see your doctor ASAP, as breast cancer spreads quickly.
