I gotta better idea! Go to your nearest school, ask the principal to give you the name of x amount of needy children who might need a computer and donate them! You'll feel so much better.

I'd recommend converting an old PC into a dedicated bastion host to construct a firewall. You're not going to get crap for them selling them, so do something useful with it. This will take a little research to implement (look it up online), but once you do, you'll be glad you did. Performance isn't a concern; one of my friends uses one with a 200 Mhz processor as a bastion host. Linux or Unix would be the logical choice of OS for a system like that, but a Windows machine would work as well.

If you're still intent on selling them, I'd put them up for auction on Ebay, but make sure the drives are completely wiped!

This can be a difficult task and you'll only make a small fraction of the amount you actually spent purchasing them originally.

Online auctions like Ebay is one way. Another is a store called Computer Renassiance (if they have them in your area).

But if money is no object to you and you just want to get rid of your older PCs, then it's best to pay to recycle them or simply donate them to a charity that accepts used PCs.

you can sell them in internet... but truly how much are you gonna win selling them?? almost nothing... it is better to give them to a institute or school who needs them.... the price of old computers is nothing. so, think to make good to others and you may win much more!!!!

You might get Goodwill to take them.

Not only is it unlikely you can sell them, you might have to pay to have them disposed of. They are 'hazardous waste" and cannot be discarded like regular trash.
