Try AVAST. It's free for the home version but you have to give your email address to them to receive a working passcode. This is what I use and prefer it over alot of the others, including some pay products.

download.com has a big assortment of av products and they all have reviews. take the reviews with a grain of salt. but if you want a free one you've got 3 solid choices

AVG
avg isn't perfect but many huge companies use it. i prefer the paid version which is 39 dollars for a 2 year license.

Or, buy an anti-virus from yor nearest CD/DVD shop and install it, what i recommend is McAfee or Norton. Remember not to install more than one A/V, A/S and Firewall or they will conflict.
