I, as a woman, do not understand what other people, women especially, see in soap operas. They are cheap and unrealistic. I have tried sitting through soap operas and have found them mind numbing and sometimes downright embarrassing. So, just what do you see in soaps?

I love soaps, and the reason you don't like them is that you are going of the assumption that they are trying to be realistic. Lets face it if we had a quarter of the drama in out lives that they have on the soaps we would be in a padded room in a straight jacket blowing raspberries.
They are met to be fun...now what I don't see the point in is all this supposed reality TV and Judge Judy.

Only soap I watched was Dark Shadows, I like vampires.

they should all be called pretty white people with problems. And my mom watches them and I just laugh at how cheesey they are.

its mostly the drama, but you get sucked in after watching it for awhile.

its entertainment for me.. and i love the drama.. im sucked in! lol.. i just love days of our lives and passions!!!!
