That 26 inning 1-1 game between Brooklyn and Boston was on a day that a rainout was expected, but they played after all. What was particularly notable was that both pitchers Joe Oeschger of Boston and Leon Cadore of Brookyn pitched all 26 innings for their respective teams.

26 innings between the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Boston Braves..
What is amazing is that at the end the score was tied 1-1 and both starting pitchers pitched a complete game!

Just watch the Althletics and Dodgers game tonight. It might break the record. They are now in the 13th inning with no extra inning scores.

The longest professionial game was between two triple a teams in 1982 i think went 33 innings. What was intersting also was one team had wade boggs and the other had Cal Ripken jr.
