Mosquitos don't care to much about how cold it gets in their dormant phase, so long as there is some warm time for their active phase

I have been savaged by Mosquitos in Alaska a couple of hundred miles north of Anchorage.

I assume there are some of the little buggers that come out for the brief summer in Nome.

Everyone says Alaska, but also Canada. Not sure which would be farther north, but its a good bet they thrive during the wet season in the Northwest Territories, just south of the Artic Circle.

I can tell you from experience that there are plenty of mosquitoes in Alaska including north of the arctic circle.

well, Alaska has the worst population of mosquitoes in north america...so i would think that is the farthest north...but they are every where all the time....hate them little bugers....they bite me like crazy...lol

definitely all the way up to the arctic in Alaska, I worked there during mosquito season!!
