Because they don't want to hear about it. They know nothing about life. Their whole history they had it in the privilege seat. The biggest problem their race face is having a bad tan. They blame others because they know nothing about racism and hate, they can't comprehend. Here is what they say "Africans sold other Africans" "maybe you should look at the ones who sold them". Africans can be partly blame alone with the Jews for the "slave trade" but not for American slavery. Or they would say " that was long ago" "I never owned a slave" "you were never a slave".
Because they are white they believe they have Superior illegal status. Example it OK that the white race can oppress, kill, lynch, rob and rape the black race. But if the Blacks race do it to them it's unfair, unjustified, and just wrong. They say "those things are over with" "bad things happen to everyone and one point or another"
OK well since white people believe this way, Let's someone rape their women, shoot them for fun, lynch them, burn their house down, and serve others, and oppress them. Then they say ok were done oppressing you, and you should thank us because we stop oppressing you. They will not believe the same way if it was them. Since whites like to stand up for their people the way they treated the black race, will they stand up for the black race if they treated the white race the same as they treated blacks? No, and as I said they think they have superior legal status, it ok for them to committ crimes in history but not ok for crimes committed against them at any time.
Hell they get mad when thier tax money support others, or at BET. If this generation of whites went through what blacks did the would die out faster than any race in history.
Sounds to me they still want Superior legal status!

What the hell is your problem? I, as a white person, am not blaming anyone. I know who did it. I don't know if anyone I'm related to had to deal with any crimes against humanity, however, I'm also part Native American. I know for certain that there have been more crimes against my race than any in American. That's often overlooked, though. Am I complaining about it? No. The past is the past. The problems of the past, as well as the triumphs, have all shaped the present to what it is today. You can complain about the past, and accept it or not accept it, but to look back at it will not bring on any sort of progress. Know what was wrong, and don't let it happen again. That's all there is to it.
I think the real question is, why can't people get over the past, when they weren't directly involved with it? And that goes out to all races, not just to "whites" because I know not all "whites" feel the same as you. I'd recommend quitting the self-righteous crap and moving forward in a suitable manner, rather than trying to make everyone else in your race look bad, and acting like you caused the atrocities of the past.

Have you been living under a rock all of your life? If it was not for the white people who fought to give the black Americans freedom from slavery, slavory would still be in partice today:
If you take a good look it is only Islam that is praticing slavory to this very day:
My suggestion to you is to wake up and smell the coffee: White people fought and died to make the black people free people in the USA:
I do not have any living realatives who owned slaves, and I don't know anyone who was a slave:I am 56 years old, slavory has been abolished for quite a while now: My father did now own slaves, neither did my Grandfathers.
In fact the Cherokee tribe were slaves at one time in the history of the USA:
We do not live in the past,we live in the presant day.

I love the answer that refers to the FACT that it was Africans who captured and sold their brothers into slavery. As soon as you say white people you are just as bad as the person who says all blacks are this or that.
My relatives came from Scotland and as the movie "Braveheart" portrays, we honored freedom above all and, I'm pretty certain, there were never any slaves in Scotland, except in virtual slavery to England.
Of course EVERY RACE has greedy, crummy people in it so you can probably find a couple of Scotsmen who lived in the South and owned slaves, did horrific things to Native Americans treated their workers terribly, or performed some awful crime.
But to expect all of us to accept their guilt is just looney toons! As the other answer says many of our relatives fought and died to free the slaves, to save the Jews and others from the Nazi extermination camps, to save the Phillippinos, and Asian nations from enslavement by the Japanese.
Should we apologize to the aggressors who were killing and enslaving millions of people??? NOT IN THIS OR ANY OTHER LIFETIME!
In the past, virtually every race and nation was trying to conquer and subjugate as much land and as many people as possible. So the Europeans won and the Native Americans lost America and were treated horribly. That is a sad chapter in history. But I suggest not as sad as it would have been had Ghengis Khan, The Nazis, The Ancient Egyptians, or Romans conquered America.
If you are referring to trying to make sure the next 911 isn't with nuclear weapons. Again, LOONEY TOONS!
It is imperative that our leaders give that the highest priority. Or do you think we should just sit here and wait until every goof ball dictator in the world has Nukes and then how will you defend that we did nothing to stop the millions killed????? I suppose that would be our crime as well?
If your father, brother, grandfather, Etc. murdered someone, are you guilty? NO!

I disagree with you on so many levels. First of all, I think that you're actually not white and that you're trying to be racist. But anyway, your question doesn't really make sense. I don't think whites blame others for what we did. I think that today we spend so much time criticizing the white race. Most school time is dedicated to learning about the supression of blacks and native americans by the white devils. I think that stuff was wrong, but I don't think we need to put so much emphasis on it that its always on people's minds and used against whites all the time. Second of all, I think we need to disconnect ourselves from our forefathers. It wasn't ME who was a slaveowner, and it wasn't anybody black here who "knew the struggle" of slavery. Your ancestor was a slave. That doesn't make you one, so reparations and apologies are not necessary to give.
I can't say how annoying it is to hear people in school talk about whites putting blacks into slavery as if it is happening today to them by every white in America.
PS Carlito: Native Americans are DEFINITELY not overlooked. Anybody else on here can tell you that, not just me.

Trying to stir the black vs white pot again huh.
If you have the intelligence to comprehend, I suggest you do a little research on the way that blacks came to america from Africa. I will give you a little clue or two. There was not a single american whom went into the jungles of africa and captured people. There was not a single american slave trader on the african continent. There was not a single american registered vessel used to transport slaves from africa to north america. Now do the rest on your own and you will be a, if not better, more informed person.

One race merely wasn't a slave quicker or later. there are countless different races obtainable who were slaves. The interior reach individuals, Jews, etc... also, Africa offered its personal human beings to america of a. White human beings were also slaves too. My ancestors were interior reach individuals, and they were dealt with worse than any immigrant. They were slaves, they were scalped, and that they had each thing taken far off from them.. yet yet you do not listen them nevertheless declaring the previous. The previous is the previous.

I take responsibility for my own actions, most of the people I know do. I work hard for my money, so does my husband, and our friends (so of other races). None of us believe we should pay for what "our" ancestors did. Do you work? How much of your money are you willing to give out every week? Let's say (for example) your father was driving drunk and hit a kid, he was sued and has to pay money to the family of the kid. Now your father died with this lingering debt, would you like to continue paying the debt for him? You didn't drive drunk, right? Why should you have to pay, right? Same instance, Why should I have to pay for what my ancestors did in the past, I didn't do it nor do I agree with what was done.

Why do black people act as if whites owe them something? I am me and I make my choices and these are the hands I was dealt. So we should all get over the past and do whats right for the future. Why do we have to say it was there fault or his fault Just do what you would want done to you.

I feel ya, bro....it's hard to get anyone, much less a whole people to acknowledge fault...therefore the solution is, what can I do different? How do I become better...smile at a stranger...say Good morning...introduce yourself to your co-worker...it ends and it begins with "self"...Thanks for the message.
