i would have to say boiling as it would be a lot slower depending on what your boiling in but if your just talking about water then yeah alot more painful because it would take longer for you too die because it would not be an instant death at 100'c
whereas burning is at least 5 times hotter than this and will kill you a lot quicker also destroying your nerves quicker so you wouldn't feel it as much when you were alive

from my personal experience, burning is equally as bad as boiling to death

I feel boiling would be long and burning could possibly end much sooner

Boiling, because it would take longer. Death by immolation would kill you in about 2-3 minutes, max.

not much difference ,boiling may kill you more quickly ,they say people that burn take a long time.
and if people are cooked to be eaten they are cleaned and gutted first,imagine what all ends up in the soup if they were cooked alive

A steam burn actually does more damage because more energy is involved.
