Bill Richardson (Governor of New Mexico) !!!!!!!!!

... it's early...

here's my breakdown...

Edwards is my frontrunner overall... he's a Democrat and I think people are sick of the Republican domination of congress and the presidency, and nothing getting done... he's from the south, while all the Republican front runners are not... plus health care is ridiculous (double digit percentage increases in costs almost ever year of the Bush presidency)... and he's for letting states decide gay marriage... they are going to try and pull the "he's an evil lawyer" card, but pretty much every politician is a lawyer, and that seems to be about all they have on him now..

maybe warner or Obama as a VP

Hillary is a woman and has too much baggage... Dems shouldn't want to take a chance when they have the table set for them.. Kerry and Gore couldn't even beat Bush...

the Republican front runners are also WAY liberal on the few issues that many in the base care about... Giuliani, if I remember correctly supports gay marriage and abortion (what's that sound... the sound of the South leaving the party?)... McCain has the best shot of any of them outside of the party, but I think he's burned a lot of bridges in the party... and he is also on the border with gay marriage... and Mit Romney is a Mormon from Mass. (good luck in the South with that)...

Condi has said she's not running and hades would be a skating rink before a black woman got the nomination anyway... and frist is the republican version of Al Gore... a stiff from Tennessee

Democrats have run so liberal of candidates lately that they've flat handed the election to whomever republicans wanted to run. If they do it again - and it looks like they will with liberal candidates like Hillary, Obama, Biden, Pelosi, etc - then they will be very close to a point at which the liberal wing so marginalizes itself from the mainstream as to threaten their (liberals') survival as a political force in the face of a democratic party that will surely swing over to a more moderate progressive grassroots postion. I can't see them being that crazy, but they seem so blinded by hate for Bush that I'm not sure they see the groud they're walking on.

Republicans will do as they have done successfully, which is when you want to win you look at your popularity with moderates. If that's high you can run a moderate conservative candidate that's a bit too liberal for most republicans (Bush), when that popularity is low (as it appears now) you placate the base on issues & then run an even more liberal candidate... hence the developing field of Rudy Guliani, John McCain, Mitt Romney. They'll put up a VP candidate the base is more happy with. I like JC Watts on that list (need to watch your stereotyping of republicans as racist uneducated redneck hicks, they aren't, even folks that grew up on farms aren't, underestimating your opposition is the fastest way to get your *** kicked).

We have had an inept, war-mongering, and pathetically mentally challenged republican in the driver's seat for almost 8 years now. Where has it gotten our country, our people, our world? Our economy just can't seem to get out of the slump it nose-dived into during his first four years, we are in a war that should never have been started, and there is no backing out now, and our reputation as a caring and strong nation is in ruins. Soooo....let's see: Republican or Democrat? Hmmmmm. I see a no brainer for this one. Democrat, baby!!

Condaleeza Rice? yea right, keep waiting cause that ain't gonna happen.. The republican hicks voting for a black woman, haha..

The best would be Harold Ford, I'd like to see John Stewart run though. And continue his show at the same time.. That'll get people to pay attention..
