Hmmmm, so ur telling me it was up to the U.S. Congress to free Mandela? He wasn't in a U.S. prison was he? Did S. Africa fall under U.S. Jurisdiction? No? Then why would Congress have a say in freeing Mandela and dismantling apartheid.

That's ridiculous. It seems it was just one of those b.s. resolutions that mean nothing. It was up to South Africa to free Mandela not the US congress. Stick to "global warming" Al Gore!

I didn't know that was an American decision.

Mandela is responsible for many murders, though. After what has happened to South Africa he ought to be locked up again.

both themes are the organisation of South Africa. He became in all likelihood attempting to guide away from entangling the U. S. in another usa's organisation. And Mandela became no Gandhi. He became rather prepared to apply violence to achieve his aims.
