Spoken like a non-parent.

There are all kinds of reasons. In my opinion it most often comes out of mental health issues.

On the other hand, I've more than once, felt enough frustration to understand how a person could step over the line.

We never, hit, pushed or spanked our kids. It was important to me that my physical presence always make my kids feel safe. For the same kind of reason, we never called names or be-rated them.

Even then, I have some compassion (but neither condone or accept) for those who have done it once. After that, they have no excuse for not getting help to control themselves. Sadly it only takes once.

There are so many reasons. Some may be people who have been hurt in their childhood, so tend to hurt others. Its psychological in some way.
Others might be looking for scapegoats for their failed lives and the more innocent the victim is, the better for their ego.
Drink is a cause. When you get so drunk that you don't realize what you are doing, you can hurt others.
And sometimes, people might do so in raging anger, where you have crossed the line of rational behaviour and act without thinking.

Sick and twisted people. These are people who were usually hurt themselves. You would figure that they didn't like it when it was done to them so why would they do it to someone else? Like I said, sick and twisted people!!!!

a selfish one, I beieve it all boils down to selfishness, a self centered attitude in which you only see things from your perspective that is what allows these people to do the things they do.
