What theater was it before?

It was formerly the Schubert Theater. Back in the 60s I saw "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," and "Hello Dolly" touring companies -- and just a couple of years ago "Urinetown." It's one of the all-time great theater stages in Chicago, but was badly in need of renovation. I'm glad someone kept it going, especially since Chicago has become a town where Broadway producers now preview their shows, such as "Movin' On." But don't I particularly like the "Bank Theater" positioning of words in its new name!

It's the old Shubert Theatre. It's a Chicago landmark theatre.
