Depending on the angle, It looked pretty flagrant, but it also looked kind of like the Italian player was just using his arm to jockey for position

There is no doubt it was intentional, no matter which angle do you see it.
Many times those kinds of fouls are not penalized if they are not seen by the referee and if they don't make the player bleed like this one did.
Italians are well know for being cheaters...

Yes, it looked as though Rossi was trying to get McBride out of the way. He may have unintentionally done it too hard, but it was a red card situation nevertheless.

Nah, not really. You never can tell from television or even up close though. Since it's the opposing team, it would look that way but I doubt he wanted to injure McBride. Simply an unfortunate accident.

He definately deserves a red card. However I don't believe when he went up, it was his intent to throw an elbow that vicious. Sometimes when a player goes into a challenge agressively, their mind isn't completely clear, and they sometimes do things they might not mean to.

De Rossi did it intentionally and that was not even first time that he did that it happen with him before. He should be suspended for all World Cup but he is Italian so Fifa will do nottin' about it.

Yes, I thought it was quite intentional and a cynical attempt to take a key player out of the game.

It was intentional...De Rossi is well known for 'gaffs' like that and that he can get an asshole and it's not his first red card because of an action like that...it was even discussed why the coach put him into the squad at all..

Oh yeah...without a doubt. He was not making a play on the ball but was instead trying to keep McB....from making the play. It was fully intentional. He even apologized for it after the match.

It was clearly a justified red card. You can't bloody someone's nose and forehead and not get penalized for it, whether it was intentional or not.
The two US red cards I'm not sure about because I didn't see myself. Hopefully we can win the next game and stay in this thing, though.

By the smirk I saw and everything, I am betting intentional. One of the good calls the ref made (and there wasn't many)
