I dreamed too much...my life is nothing near what I have dreamed...Dreaming is easy making a dream come true is impossible for some people (me included)
Sometimes the thing you dream of most is the thing you need the least....I found out early that just because you dream about it and wish for it, does not make it the right thing for you.

I used to dream as a kid of what my life would be right now, and believe it is nothing like I pictured. I am not happy with the course my life has taken, but I still believe I can have the life that I want.

-I used to dream that at this point in my life I would have much better grades more often, a job, better family life, a girlfriend, and more of a social life. And also that I'd get a lower pitched voice.
-I guess I'm pretty happy with my life. I'd love to have a father and grandfather but I have a loving mom and grandma supporting me, good friends to talk to although I wish I had more. I hate my voice and I've never been in a bf/gf relationship with a girl and I wish my family had more money. But I'm going to a great college to do what I want to do in life, about to graduate, and smart enough to not smoke, drink, or do drugs.
-My dream is to become an elementary school teacher.
-Yes, a lot.

I am happy with the way my life is right now. It wasn't what I expected. I wanted to go to college straight from high school but that didn't happen. I didn't start college until I was 20, but at least I did whatever I could to make that happen. My dream is to be a psychologist. I want to get my Ph.D in that field because they make more money. I want to make a difference in people's lives and I will make sure that I get accepted into grad school so that I can make that happen.

I'm still 14 and every time someone asks me what my life dream is, I freak out. I really don't know what I want to be when I grow up. I tell people I want to be an architect, but I'm not sure if that's what I want to do. It can take pretty long for some people to figure out what they want to do for the rest of their lives. There are so many options out there, and you are lucky if you know what you want to do. I guess I just want to have a successful life and be the best I can be at anything I end up doing.

I love my life. It's not the one I dreamed of having as a kid, life can throw people for loops that they never even saw coming. But people shouldn't let that get them down. I learned a long time ago that people can talk all they want about making changes in their lives but it isn't going to happen unless they do something about it. The courses in my life haven't always been happy ones but it's knowing that these things happen to the best of us and doing positive things about it because certain things were unacceptable to me.

no i'm not living my dream exactly....
i dreamed i was going to be in a successful job and married by now (i'm 24).
i made a lot of bad decisions, and i'm a single mother who works as a secretary to pay the bills.
i'd have to say though that even though it's a lot different than what i expected, i learned a lot along the way that i might not have if i had a perfect life. now i'm dating the greatest guy ever and i've realized that happiness comes from love of family and friends and not money and success.

I daydreamed too much in my younger days instead of living in reality and made unhealthy choices and now I will forever remember that ignorance. Keep your head out of the clouds and look to the future and determine if what you are doing now, in the present will have any impact on the future you would like to have. That is logical and makes sense, if you let it. That is my personal out look and experience.
