I completely agree with you it was a foul goal. Crouch clearly used the defender to give him a boost, that guy cant jump, he is baaaad. However I think also that T & T 's inexperience did them in, any German or Italian defender would have fallen down at the slightest push and would have obtained the foul from the ref , the goal wouldnt have counted. If they had more experience they would have done the same, good fight though.

Nasty foul? Not sure about that one. All he did was tug a bit at Brent Sancho's hair. 'Nasty' fouls happened in the game between Italy and the USA. Claret spilled there. A 'nasty' foul happened in the 1982 World Cup when Harald Schuhmacher drop-kicked Patrick Battiston and cracked his ribs (yet the arrogant w*nk*r got away with it). What Peter Crouch did was just to rough up a few defenders, like they had been doing to him all game long. Carry on big man!

you think that was a nasty foul ?, try watching usa v Italy for proper fouls! that wasnt nasty, the Trinidad player didnt flinch or complain. You obviously dont play competitive football, that kind of thing goes on all the time (the reason i cut my hair!).The Ref is there to sort these things out, for every foul not spotted in the box there will be loads that are spotted, its just one of those things the ref didnt see it so the goal stands (same with Maradonna).

The reason he got away with it is the same reason maradona got a way with the hand of god the ref did not see it. The trouble with the game today is they are bring to much technology into it if it was not for the slow mos and zooming in nobody would of known about it and it would of gone down as a great goal.

The ref is only human he is in charge and the game should only be played to his whistle not to the lens of a camera.

your right he pulled the t&t player back AND there was an english player offside a couple passes before it. Who knows if gerard would have had the oppurtunity to score after too if the ref had judged it right...he probably wouldnt. The t&t goal should have been aloud if the english one was.

I watched this match and I didn't see any "foul goal" by Crouch. Be a good sport about it - your team lost.

If you believe that Crouch holding an opponent's shirt is nasty and a foul. Welcome to football/soccer, a contact sport.
