Business loans are available for people with bad credit but grants are very few and far between. If you need a loan, most areas now have a women's business alliance or something similar where you can get assistance with writing a business plan and securing a low interest SBA loan. You can also try to find an independent investor, but you will sacrifice some control since they hold the "purse strings". If you can start small, you may not need financing.
