Hi sis. Before you start the loose powder, I'm assuming you've already washed, toned, moisturized, and concealed the pores/red spots. When you open the loose powder's container, it should have an inside top cover with many small holes so that if you slightly shake the container, a small amount of loose powder can be dabbed on with a big, soft 2 inch diameter blush brush. Anyway, even if it doesn't have this feature, the key is to lightly dab (light stab) the brush to collect the loose powder. Then tap tap tap the brush 3-5 times against the lid of the loose powder to shake off the excess powder back to its container. If you have too much powder on the brush, the powder may fall onto your clothes. Start painting and/or dabbing from the forehead to give you some practice. You should start seeing the difference. Then go for the nose and chin, then work your way outwards from either side of the nostrils. Don't forget to wipe off your makeup before you go to bed! Followed by a wash, tone, moisturize. When you wake up in the morning you'll always look a day younger : )

Any type, eyeshadow, blusher, finishing powder, pick-up the powder onto the brush, tap excess off either back into the container or use the side of your hand. This will take out the excess so that it doesn't go to your face. After applying, use a brush that isn't used to apply make-up to brush lightly over finished application.

Whatever it is (loose powder blush, eyeshadow, regular powder) you treat it the same way. Dip it in the powder with your brush, lightly tap the base of the brush on your arm and apply it. That way you get the look without overdoing it.
