Humanities subjects include Anthropology and ethnography, sociology, archaeology, history and historiography, media studies, economics, political science and more. Even environmental science or art criticism could be included

The skills they involve are observation, participant-observation, data-gathering and analysis, LOTS of interpretation, engagement with critical cultural theories (like marxism, feminism, postmodernism etc), self-reflexivity, analysis of cultural artefacts and the ability to enjoy endless arguments.
