To my knowledge, there is no such thing as a grant to start your own business. SBA loans are all but useless, for they loans must meet the local bank's requirements, and the SBA papers make the loan application very difficult...and banks will still not loan money unless you have good credit, something to back up the loan with, and can present a very good business plan. The best way to start your own business is to start small with your own money and build the business as it grows. Good luck

Get an SBA Loan from the Gov. Most cities or states have a help organization for just these questions. Call the city. For example Portland has SCORE. (Service Corp of Retired Executives.)

Go to the Foundation Center. Click onto this website to see if there's one near you. Its free to visit and go through their directories of available grants and awards. They also host free workshops on how to research grants and write proposals. In this workshop you'll be able to identify different aspects of your business idea that grant-giving individuals and institutions are looking for. Good luck!

hire a grant writer it will coast about 2 to 4000 dollars but the goverment is giving women a garuntee on grants they want more women bussines owners
