Well First of all, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, it's not that it was just a good intention and it's that simple a killer has good intentions in there sick twisted heart when they murder someone but it's still sick, but now lets get back to your Question, think about this God has a system set up who can carry the ark, and do not touch it simple, it's really simple Obey God, he is the master, now let me show you in an example why this was wrong of that person. a man had a Dog, and he was feeding the Dog while he was feeding the Dog it bit the mans hand instead of waiting for the food to be laid on the ground. so the man punished the Dog by putting it to death. who was in the right ? the Dog for being hungry and not waiting to eat the food regardless if it was OK to bite the man or not. ( the animal thought it was in the right it was just hungry right ? ) ( or ) was the man in the right while he had a system set up so the dog could eat and not hurt him ? see my point. just because someone has good intonations doesn't mean you have the right to reach out and catch the ark, or bite the man.

The Bible:

The Hebrew word means "box," or "chest." It contained the tablets of the Ten Commandments. The ark of the covenant was as sign to the people of Israel that God was with them, and the cover represented God's throne.

The Ark of the Covenant (in Hebrew: aron habrit) is described in the Hebrew Bible as a sacred container built at the command of Moses, in which rested the stone tablets containing the Ten Commandments. The Ark and its sanctuary were "the beauty of Israel" (Lamentations 2:1).

I think it is in a cave on the Temple Mount, but likely on the property of the Mosque. If the Moslems find it, like the stuff they quietly excavated to enlarge an underground meeting room--which had ancient artifacts in the debris they dumped, I'm hoping it stays hidden until the Temple Dome Mosque falls down or the Arabs are evicted (they keep throwing rocks at the people praying at the Western Wall, that might just one day happen). Other places, likewise, are in Arab hands, so I think it might best be left alone.

I wouldn't look, "The Ark of the Covenant" is said to be so powerful no man can stand before it. I wouldn't want to find it.

I would find out what state the city of Covenant is in and then look there. I know there is one in Saint Louis, Mo. Why not just use that one. If you 've seen one ark you 've seen them all.

underneath the burning bush, or in the still, small voice of the storm. No actually, I think the Ark is hidden and will not be found again.

I agree with Mark. Look in Ethiopia. If you find it don't open it. Whoever opens the ark must be pure in heart.

Just saw a special on the History Channel, it said that it was taken to Ethiopia by one of Solomon's Sons... The show was called, "Banned from the Bible"

It is thought that there is hidden room, for lack of a better description, under the Temple Mount.
It is also thought it may have been hidden here.
Then there are those that think it is in Etiophia.
