A good start is to go to your local council. Do you have a community center? Ask about art exhibitions and see what ones are coming up or if you can hire a room for a couple of weeks to put your exhibition in. They normally take a small percentage of sales to cover costs. Good Luck

here are some suggestions to get you started.
1) determine the size of your budget. How much can you spend on the exhibition. (even when the exhibition is supposed to be money making effort, you may spend more than you take in)
2) acquire art to be exhibited (borrow , or invite artists to exhibit)
3) make a list of the art that will be exhibited
artist, title, artist's media, date created, size
3) find a location for the exhibit.
example for paintings you would need a place with good lighting and that you would be permitted to put items on the walls or that had plenty of room so that you could put the paintings on easels
4) arrange for equipment. do you need tables, chairs, display boxes, easels , pedestals. etc.
5) Arrange for security for the items exhibited. Even if no thieves show up. people will do the most unexpected things like opening a bottle of soda and accidentally spraying a valuable quilt with it.
If your security is not a professional do talk with them about what you want them to do in different scenarios.
as in what to do in case of running children, old person with a heart attack, someone carrying food and drink around the textiles. people touching the exhibits. (in an exhibit of cactus
some of the plants had lost all their spines by the end of the day
because some folk could not resist touching them)
6) plan the advertisement of the exhibit.
