We did two things for our children...
1. It is very common to look at grandparents, or other family names...unless the names are very common themselves I'd look there first. This way, you are encouraging your kids to study their family history. You can go waaaaay back.
2. Historical names. Not to be confused with Biblical, although if you want you may look there, however, Biblical names are becoming very fashionable. You can look up a certain historical time, etc. For us, we looked at warrior names...Alexander the Great, Siprio, Hannibal (obviously I threw that one out but my hubby liked it).
3. My niece is very into cultural names. You can look at a certain culture you're interested in and check out some names that aren't very common.
4. When you can't find a name, make one up! My auntie, named her 9 kids all kinds of made up names. One of her boys is named Gamael. The Ga is for Gabriel (grandpa), the Ma is for Maria our grandma, and the El is for Eustolia (another grandma). She blended all their names together from other names.
Hope this helps, Good Luck and Congrats!

When i was pregnant with my youngest son I got a book called "Cool Baby Names", on the cover is a leopard print bib. It has AWESOME ideas. I really liked the names Jaxon ( like Jackson), Jagger, Sailor, Waylon, Jameson,...the list goes on. The book also tells you different names celebrities gave their kids. It's pretty interesting and definitely helpful for unique names. Good Luck and Congrats!

My favorite names for boys are Joshua, Jordan,Joel, Miguel Angel. Towiki is tarahumada indian for the boy, and Onuk is Inuit for polar bear (just cute but I wouldn't name your son those names).

I wanted to name my son Hezekia Joel but my husband wouldn't agree on it. I know it's a different name but that's why I like it so much. It's not very common.
