Good question. But long answer. Well it has a brain called processor. Which is the main part. It requires some minimum resources to work as a computer like memory, Hard disk. All of this is integrated with a Motherboard to interact.
Hope this answers your question.

ok! a gud kwestin
here's how it works.let me explain it to u in a simple manner:
The entire system is like a human being
the Motherboard can be comapred to the heart. and the hard drive can be compared to the brain.the monitor to the eyes, the speakers to the mouth and microphone to the ear.
the printer is like the hand
So, when u Switch on the computer, the "brain" recalls it's information from the RAM.The "RAM" is summat like the part of the brain that is used to recall thigs. So,wen d brain recalls,it gets d info from it's brain(hard drive) then it either sings, writes or sees things!!!

Its pretty complicated. Alot of info. To make it short, you have a hard drive with info stored on it like music cd's but it's different kinds of data instead, and it shows up on your screen.
