More dangerous. Far too many stories about children getting ahold of them and hurting themselves or others. Violence breeds violence.

Depends on if the gun is put away in a safe place or if all the people living in the house are trained on using the piece. Just last week or so on the news a 3 YEAR OLD BOY got ahold of a gun in his home and was playing with it and shot his 22 year old father dead.

Well, it is a hard question to answer....It good be both
It could be safe because if you were to have a break-in, you could have a gun to protect yourself with. You would be able to go to sleep at night knowing that you are protected because you have the gun in your house.
It could be dangerous, because if you were to have a break in and the robber found the gun, you would be in deep ****.
In the end, I think it would be safer to have a gun because chances are that if you had a break-in, the robber would have a gun and that way you would have one to protect yourself with.

My guns don't make my home safer or less safe. I keep them out of access of any kids with the ammunition seperate. If somebody were to invade my home, then I would not be able to use the guns against them.

Depends on the household and the neighbor hood you live in. If you have kids...it is never truly safe. I wouldn't have time to go look for bullets in my unloaded gun or fumble with a gunlock first if an intruder were in my home. So I see no need for one if you have kids.

well it would depend like if i had one in my house and someone i didn't know was in my house and i was alone with them i would be kind of freaked out if they knew where it was. but if i knew where it was and some one was trying to break in or soemthing then that might be useful. or it would be bad if some how i ended up killing myself so i think that it has good things and bad things to it.

safer- granted there is someone there that knows how to use it properly and has been trained ( how police are) - shot to wound-not to kill. and also the gun would have to be properly maintained and stored- or unaccesable to children and unknowlegable, untrained adults

Guns are used more often against loved ones - friends/family - far more often than against intruders. Are you a loved one or an intruder?
