Not unless they have been specifically outfitted. From what I understand it is more corrosive on the hoses and gaskets.

your vehicles can run on 85%gasoline/15%ethanol with no problems but the Silverado will probably have some starving problems at times (The ethanol blens were first tried 20 years ago in the south and midwest but was discontinued after too many stalling/ bad cold starts associated with the ethanol).. The newer vehicles can run on it with no problems as long as the ethanol is less than 20%
anything above 20% and espcially E85 on non FFV vehicles will cause rubber deterioration as well as running issues

There should be no problems at all. The newer vehicles may be set up by the computer only to run only certain octane ratings, which may effect the way it runs. Check your manual or ask a mechanic. Performance can only suffer if you change to a lower octane rated fuel in a high performance engine(injected or non fuel injected. I have run this fuel for over 30 years with no problems in pre 90 vehicles. Critics say it harms valve seats in older vehicles because they require leaded fuel to lubricate the valve seats. We have had non leaded fuel for a long time. I have run this fuel in 65 chevys, 57 chevy, 80's camaros and cadillacs.Without getting real technical, this is a great clean burning fuel for any engine. No problems at all.

The two main problems with alchohol is the "rubber seals and hoses" neoprin or selicon works well , the second is the fuel needs to be inriched 10-20% you can run straight alcohol 140 to200 proof but 160-175 usually works well. Cold weather does present a start problem though.

You need to be more specific. E85 is 85 percent ethanol, 15 percent gasoline. Your car will not run on it unless it is specifically designated a flex fuel vehicle or is somehow modified for use with it. Your car could run on 90 percent gasoline and 10 percent ethanol with no problem.

No. If you mean 85% ethanol.
That is too old and not flex fuel compatible.
Flex fuel cars and trucks are built to be robust against
the corrosive nature of ethanol. Ethanol absorbs water,
and is corrosive to un protected metals.
