This last week, the Supreme court passed a ruling that says police with warrants no longer have to announce themselves or knock before entering a person's property. This is only one more step towards the slavery of the American people. Think about it.

Basically, all I have to do is make up a story about how any of you, fellow citizens, are a threat to society, go to the police and get them to get a search warrant. So you're sittin in your chair watchin tv and eating pizza when, suddenly, your door explodes inward with brute force and the cops are all over you. It's not about whether or not you are a criminal. It's about invading your privacy without warning.

Immenent domain was the first real threat that was obvious. They are just laying the groundwork for later on. We need to wake up before it is too late. Tell your congressmen what you want.

the police have been doing that for awhile now in texas. they tell people there that it is "just a drill". in all reality, it is all just the beginning of what is yet to come. remember, as every day goes by, we become more socialistic. 10 years from now, you'll yearn for days that we experience now...

Why is it that on every single question relating to a hot-topic opinion, the same democrat and republican sound bytes keep coming back into play? "We need to protect/preserve our freedoms no matter what the cost" "George Bush is a madman under a secret conspiracy from his businesses to run the White House as a puppet regime" Hasn't anyone figured out that both parties are just using the same fear tactics and divising tactics? We're not going to end up like a communist nation where all your freedoms are regulated by the state. George Bush is not a secret neonazi who is trying to make sure you can't buy a coke without the NSA knowing it. Our freedoms aren't going to simply disappear unless we take huge proactive steps to save them. Terrorists are not going to blow up a bomb on every street corner of the United States. Quite frankly, whatever happened to centrist common sense? Sure, the Police no longer have to alert you to their presence before the kick the door down. Like that makes a big difference? you're still going to be arrested, you're stilll going to jail for robbing that bank, so why does Jack Bauer screaming "I'm a cop, now I'm breaking your door" have any effect on anything remotely close to your personal freedoms?

Yeah because having the police able to surprise violent criminal before they have a chance to grab an infant out of a crib to use as a human shield and start blasting away is a real reduction in my freedom and liberty.

Get real fucktwip, freedom has NOTHING to do with the freedom to commit crime.

Give it a little time. There will be a few innocent folks shot and killed, as well as well intentioned local authorities. Then the lawsuits caused by this will start popping up left and right . You can be there will be some revisions to this one and this law will be alot less agressive.Regardless of whether or not this happens ,do right and you dont have anything to concern yourself with.

Okay, as soon as they enter they fall through the hole in the floor to the basement disorientated where mirrors and flashing lights reflect their images and they shoot each other.

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!
Benjamin Franklin

They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty or safety.

I did see it, you need to actually read the opinion and not just rely on what you hear.

THEY DID NOT SAY THEY NO LONGER HAVE TO ANNOUNCE THEMSELVES!! They ruled that once they announce they no longer have to wait before entry (which they did before). PLEASE get your facts right before you start a debate.

I haven't decided what I think of it as a citizen yet, but I guess since I am not doing anything I am not as concerned. BUT HOW DOES IT LEAD TO SLAVERY????? Sure am glad no one is overly dramatic or anything.

(edit: it is not that easy to get a SW, real life is nothing like TV or movies).

Well yes. GWBush is a madman, under the spell of Halliburton. He's got no concept of due process. He's truly acting like a king. But this land has never been kind to anyone named King George...

This particular issue has been responsible for releasing clearly guilty people. They still need PC and still must follow search and evidence protocols. All it will do is keep the guilty from getting off on a technicality.
