im 17 and scared to get contacts but i want them for non prescription use? help me get over my fear.?

don't be scared! i was scared when i first tried to get them when i was 13. the lady tried to put the contacts on my eyes for me and that wasnt right. so then i tried again later that year and insisted that i should try it myself and it took some work but i was able to get them in. the thing is, when putting in contacts, it isn't like your finger is directly touching your eye (because the contact is between it) so there isnt any pain. it just takes getting used to.

I'm not sure why you would want to change your eye color, but sure. I have contacts and they don't hurt at all. You just have to be sure to change your contacts once a month and always wash them in contact solution. Contacts don't hurt.

You really can get used to it and do it and think nothing of it. I am the world's most squeamish person and thought I could never put anything in my eye, but it only takes a bit of practice and you are doing it without a worry.

I got mine at 17. After you get used to them, they're no big deal. Takes a few days to get used to inserting and removing though. I'd go with extended wear, but use them as daily wear. That way, the icky stuff doesn't build up in your eyes, but if you fall asleep with them in, they won't be as dry.

dont worry im 13 6 i just got contact lenses... the 1st time i was like 4 hours tyring to put them on cuz my eyes closed but actually... u get used 2 it and its easier to put the eyeliner into ir eyes so take it easy!!!!!!!!!!!
