How about a resetting of your homepage that is locked in by some type of cookie setting. Worst case is a virus of somesort that rides in with the html. Sometimes this is caused by the website, other times someone has 'hacked' the site and a virus enters remotely. Either way, not good.

First of all don't use Internet Explorer as your browser (there are a lot of active-x sites out there that'll download trojans, spyware, worms, etc to your computer. Use Firefox as your browser. Also remember not to execute any .exe, .doc, etc type of files. As long as you stay within the bounds of the web and not download anything bad, then you'll be okay. Happy surfing! xD

if you don't have a good firewall people can put cookies ( trackers) and spam pop ups occur alot or a trogan horse can be launched and basically someone else can rummage through your computer. Get a good security system installed, its worth the money.
