Purdum reports that Cheney travels with a chemical-biological suit at all times. When he gave his friend Robin West & his twin children a ride to the White House a couple of years ago, West commented on the fact that Cheney's motorcade varied its daily path. "And he said, 'Yeah, we take different routes so that "The Jackal" can't get me,'" West tells Purdum. "And then there was this big duffel bag in the middle of the backseat, and I said, 'What's that? It's not very roomy in here.' And [Cheney] said, 'No, because it's a chemical-biological suit,' and he looked at it and said, 'Robin, there's only one. You lose.'"

there are alot of craziness going on all around the world that wants to hurt our government officials and Dick Cheney is our Vice President look for example Iran and thier nuc heads they want to produce....Uranium is a highly dangerous substance that can burn right thru your skin like acid as well as, the high content of sulfur it produces....it is not only he that has the bio chem suits it is all our governmentle personel that has them they just do not carry them around with them like he does...Cheney is just be very cautious for you never know when the next time the US wil be under attack.....I beleave that he takes safety measurements seriously....If I was a polition I know I would do the same thing....

Hate to burst all of our bubbles but I think that the VP (whatever we may think of him) needs to take any precautions necessary. I don't think there's anything behind it.
