my basement is the coolest and first floor is not as cool as my groundfloor. i keep on changing temperature in thermostat every hour. i want to know how to maintain same temperature.

1. Set the thermostat to a temperature you want, and do not change.
2. Behind every register (where the cool air enters your rooms) there should be a damper, that changes the amount of air delivered to your room. Close (or open) the damper gradually to adjust the air flow.
3. Make sure your thermostat not exposed to a sun light.
It takes a few days of experimenting to reach a comfort level in every room.
PS. Do not cut too much air flow to avoid moisture accumulation. And do not forget, during heating season air enters from the same registers...

Where is your thermostat located, this could be why you aren't getting an even temp thru out the house, you can use fans to help circulate the air more evenly.

I think you should not have the temperature on. Just have all the windows open and open the door to your basement and then coolness will come from the basement. GOT IT?!

you need a fan in your basement doorway--keep it on low so it doesn't use a lot of elec.--once its been on for a while you'll get a convection current going and everything will even out

try to cool urself , do some yoga, that will give u cool from inside.
