I love shopping there except the fact that they get on my nerves and keep getting rid of all of my stuff that I always get. Other than that, I love it!
With your situation, I would have went to the 10 items or less aisle, or told the manager.
If I have half a buggy full, and every single other line is full with 3 or 4 people in it, I will head right over to the 10 items or less, because noone is ever in that aisle, and i am not waiting 30 minutes because they can't get more cashiers.
Your problem is is that you are not being more aggressive with the situation. I never let "lines" bother me, because I always intervene to get my way, even if it means going to the 10 items or less, or complaining to the manager. That sounds harsh, but Wal-Mart should be better managed/staffed so that customers don't go through such hassles just to shop.
It isn't right.
So the next time you feel it isn't right, do something about it instead of giving up.

You do not have to go back to any of them. Find another place to shop. I doubt if they will miss your purchases. I have seen those documentries as well, I get just as furious about them as you do about the store. They do not tell you the trruth about what really is. I live where much of what they sell is produced. Cheap labor is not what it is at all. In dolar terms I live in a very nice large two bedroom three bath home that rents for one hundred bucks per month. I live in an afluent area as well. I can rent a nice one bedroom apt. in other areas for as little as $30.00 per month. there are places if you are quite poor that rent for even less per month. I pay $35.00 per month for all utilities for this house. that is water, electricity, waste disposal and village maintainence. I can eat very well for $5.00 per day. The ntives cn feed a family of six for that same fiver. The list can go on and on. It takes very few dolars to live here comoared to there. Another thing you probably never even thought of. When a company goes to another to set up a factory they must abide by the rules of that nation. Fair or not that is the way it has to be. Once there then changes can be made but it does take time. It is a proven fact that when foreigh companies set up in this part of the world things start to emprove. The poor and uneducated are able to earn more than they ever had before and spend more. Thhings will emprove and the people will have more and more as time goes by...Beware of what you see on the TV. If you'r ever able then get a passport and go see some for yourself what is out here. Remember this. First the companies have to be there providing jobe before progress can be made. Most jobs that come here are labor intensive jobe that you and most there would not do.

I do wonder about 3rd world labor and all that. I have to admit I like their prices but would be willing to pay more if I thought the workers in the 3rd world countries were getting the money. I don't think any business should be able to make the profits that Wal-Mart and many other companies, such as gas companies, make. That is just wrong.
But I shop at Wal-Mart just as much because I can get so many things I need at one time.

I HATE Wal-Mart! yet it traps you, the economic gadget stinks and Wal-Mart competes. it really is continuously crowded, you may walk 5 miles to ultimately locate what you want, it really is killing small agencies, the workers can quite purchase a p.c.. of gum on their wages... I keep away from it as a lot as conceivable, yet now and again i merely can not. i'm no longer rich both, and if some thing i choose sells for $5 more cost-effective at Wal-Mart it really is the position i bypass. Sorry to take heed to about your CD, wow, they are even censoring our music.

I'm a sales coordinator for Wal-Mart thank you... In the very near future you will see many changes within Wal-Mart. Maybe you will like them, maybe you won't. What I have noticed about most people who hate Wal-Mart, is that they go everyday! Strange huh? Most people go on and on about how the employee are paid next to nothing, we are disrespected, blah blah blah. How would they know? What most people don't know is Wal-Marts policy for wages is well above the minimum wage for that state. What really bothers me is the people hating Wal-Mart for these reasons need to take a quick look into the Sub-ways and Quiznos located inside the Wal-Mart...they will see that the employees there are getting paid exactly minimum wage, and most of them work alone every night doing things it should take 5 people to do....Our Employees work very hard to make a pleasant shopping experience for you, thanks for noticing by the way. I'm not asking you to shop at Wal-Mart but give a little respect to the people actually working for a living and actually trying to bring you quality products at the lowest prices.

The same thing happens to me every time I go in that store. I have been known to go to 3 or 4 different stores, just to keep from going to Wal-Mart. I live in a small town and unfortunately Wal-Mart keeps other businesses from coming in or they run the ones we do have out . I have worked at Wal-Mart in the past. It is a horrible place to work. I would NEVER recommend it to anyone. :(

I've been boycotting Walmart for ten years.
Primarily because of their predatory practices that bankrupt American suppliers who don't use foreign (cheap) labor.
But, also because their stores are poorly maintained and designed and any savings is neutralized by the time and effort involved in obtaining those savings.
I had a similar experience a couple of years ago regarding a lawn chair that I really needed that day and could find nowhere else. I bought it, but it reminded me why I don't routinely shop there.
Walmart SUCKS.

I hate going to walmart too. I tried boycotting them once...but well know one would help me.
I worked there and i have personal experience of how bad they are. But being broke and living in Kansas, I don't have much of a choice as to where I shop... Theres only like 2 other grociery stores and 2 other general stores here. And the competeters are just as bad and more expensive.
Just so you know...if you have to make a trip back to walmart...go at night. or early morning...before the "pricks" (or where I live...white trash) are even out of bed.

Were you expecting them to pull the store over to you ? Back in the day, you might be able to expect a feeling of personalized treatment when you visited a mercantile but I don't think that is possible anymore. Too many people, too little time, too much in a hurry. It's not unreasonable....If you relieve yourself of some of that hatred and loathing, you'll have more time and you might find you trip to WalMart less stressful. Just a thought.
